Assembly & Testing

Our uncomprimising assembly and testing standards.

At ENI, we work hard to ensure that everything we make is perfect — and in perfect working order — before it ships. The unshakeable faith we have in our products is a direct result of our uncomprimising assembly and testing standards.

Non‐Destructive Testing

We have extensive capabilities for in‐house, non‐destructive testing (NDT) for parts required for both military and commercial applications. Our NAVSEA 250‐1500‐1 qualified personnel can perform a wide range of NDT, including:

  • RT (Radiography Testing)
  • PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing)
  • MT (Magnetic Particle Testing)
  • VT (Visual Inspection Testing)
  • HT (Hydro Testing)

We also perform thorough dimensional inspection, and we are capable of delivering inspection reports and data in whatever format the customer requires. Going far beyond the standards of traditional job shops, we use conventional measuring tools or construct our own custom inspection tools and gauges for difficult or unusual testing.

We use calibrated micrometers, calipers, granite surface plates, ring thread gauges and special‐use gauges. We have traditional CMMs as well as portable FARO Arms capable of remote inspection in nine‐foot spheres. For large, complex parts, we use a FARO laser tracker.

Setting the Standard for Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance touches every aspect of our process, including assembly and testing, where we make sure the end result matches customer specifications and requirements exactly. Inspection of critical parts takes place in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

At ENI, quality assurance means thinking ahead. We bring the quality assurance team on board from the beginning of the project. Quality teams put their heads together with the engineering team to develop a strategy for in-process measuring and testing. This test‐as‐you‐go strategy ensures your project is done right the first time, on time, every time.
